They included teaching the recreational dance program at the University of Guelph and teaching the hip hop program at Langs Farm Youth and Teen Centre.
Teacher Kelsey
Kelsey has been dancing at Attitudes since she was 6, adding up to 14 years with the studio. She is currently finishing her second year of university, in the Math and Business double degree program at the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University. Outside of the studio, she is dancing with the UW dance company.
Kelsey says she really cannot choose a favourite style of dance when asked. “I would say my strongest style is contemporary/lyrical, so I tend to gravitate to those out of comfort, but wholeheartedly I love them all and cannot pick a favourite.” Since she was young, dance has been so many things to Kelsey. A physical activity, an emotional and mental outlet, a way to express herself, and her passion. As many dancers would agree, dance is now apart of her identity, and she cannot imagine life without it.
